Our vision

TransLegal is working to connect the world’s legal languages by coordinating the translation of national legal terminology into English. We are developing a system that facilitates the international practise of law and the development of innovative language products, solutions and resources that provide deeper insight into jurisdictional differences, improve automated translation solutions and leverage the power of artificial intelligence.

Our people

Michael G. Lindner
Founder

Michael is a former US civil litigator and an authorised translator from Swedish to English. He holds BA and JD degrees and has led TransLegal since founding the company in 1989.

Michael Krallmann
CEO

Michael is a former UK solicitor and patents litigator, as well as an authorised translator from Norwegian to English. He holds BA, BSc, LLM and MA degrees. In addition to being a co-editor of TransLegal’s Norwegian dictionary, he is TransLegal’s Chief Legal Officer and has responsibility for TransLegal’s business development activities.
Péter Torma
COO
Péter is a Hungarian lawyer and formerly worked as an anti-trust and competition specialist in Brussels. He holds BA and LLM degrees. In his capacity as TransLegal’s Chief Operations Officer, he manages the company’s day-to-day operations, including language teams.
Thomas B. Mann
CRO
Tom is an American corporate and commercial lawyer and a seasoned German-English legal translator. He has BA and JD degrees from US universities and an LL.M degree from a German university. He helped set up TransLegal’s German operations in the mid-1990s and ran them for almost three decades. In addition to being the editor-in-chief of TransLegal’s German dictionary, he now also functions as TransLegal’s Chief Research Officer.
